Maryland player yells at cop, arrested

Maryland basketball player Pe'Shon Howard was arrested early Sunday and cited for disorderly conduct, a university police spokesman said.
Capt. Marc Limansky said a campus officer was flagged down after a fight started at the Shanghai Cafe at College Park, Md., The Baltimore Sun reported.
Once inside, the officer saw one man, who appeared to be the aggressor, being held back by a group of people.
When the officer took the man outside to interview him, Limansky said Howard approached and began yelling at him.
The officer asked Howard to stop, but he continued and was subsequently arrested.
"He was diverting the officer's attention, so the officer felt he had to arrest Howard," Limansky said.
Howard was released with a criminal citation and no one else was arrested.
A junior from Los Angeles, Howard is expected to resume his role as starting point guard this season after injuries hampered his last campaign.
