Justin Coleman scored 16 points and DeAndre Kane scored 11 of his 14 in the second half as Marshall pulled away for a 79-59 victory over High Point on Saturday night.

The Thundering Herd (7-2) led by six points, 39-33, early in the second half before Kane keyed an 11-0 run with a pair of layups and a 3-pointer to make it 50-33 with 14:39 remaining.

Damier Pitts added 11 points, Shaquille Johnson got 10 and Robert Goff had 10 points and 10 rebounds for Marshall, which shot 53.3 percent (16 of 30) in the second half.

Nick Barbour scored 22 points, including 19 in the second half, to lead High Point (3-7). He made 5 of 9 shots after halftime, but the rest of the Panthers were 4 for 14.

Marshall, the NCAA's fourth-ranked team in rebound margin, exceeded its plus-11.5 average by outrebounding High Point 47-35.
