Manhattan eases past Niagara in 84-75 win

NEW YORK (AP) Shane Richards scored 22 points, Ashton Pankey added 19 more and Manhattan cruised to an 84-75 win over Niagara on Saturday night.

Richards hit 6 of 15 from the floor, sinking 4 of 10 from 3-point range, and was a perfect 6 for 6 at the free throw line as Manhattan (7-8, 4-2 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) marked its first three-game win streak of the season. Pankey was 5 of 8 from the floor and grabbed seven rebounds.

Emmy Andujar contributed 16 points and RaShawn Stores had 10 for the Jaspers, who opened with an 11-2 burst and never trailed in the game.

Niagara (3-11, 2-4) shot 55.6 percent on 45 attempts from the floor but lost the edge at the foul line, where Manhattan held a 27-19 advantage in made free throws.

Wesley Myers led Niagara with 22 points, while Ramone Snowden had 16 points and Rayvon Harris 13.
