Vernon Teel scored 16 points and grabbed 12 rebounds as Loyola Marymount dropped San Diego 67-58 on Saturday night.
The Lions (8-8, 1-1 West Coast) trailed 29-28 at halftime but shot 38.5 percent from the field in the second half while the Toreros (3-13, 0-2) made just 32 percent.
Anthony Ireland added 15 points, including three 3-pointers, for the Lions while Drew Viney scored 10.
Darian Norris led San Diego with a game-high 24 points, shooting 8 for 16 from the field. Chris Manresa and Ken Rancifer added 11 points each for the Toreros.

San Diego outscored the Lions in the paint 26-16.
