Antwan Carter scored 30 points and had 10 rebounds as Longwood ended a nine-game losing streak with a 90-73 victory over South Carolina State at the Las Vegas Classic on Thursday.
Durann Neil added 17 points for the Lancers (4-11) while Jeremiah Bowman scored 14 points and Jan van der Kooij had 13.
Darnell Porter led the Bulldogs (4-8) with 16 points, Omar Sanders scored 14 and Joe Ikhinmwin and Khalif Toombs each had 13.
Carter had 19 points on 8-of-11 shooting in the first half to help Longwood to a 44-32 halftime lead.

The Lancers shot 55.9 percent, hit 10 3-pointers and took advantage of 20 turnovers by the Bulldogs.
