Longhorns land 4-Star point guard prospect

Shaka Smart is already making his presence felt in Austin. The former VCU head coach is blazing the recruiting trail, picking up a commitment from 4-star 2016 point guard Jacob Young yesterday.

Young will follow in a long line of successful Texas floor generals, including the likes of T.J. Ford and D.J. Augustin. 

Young, who hails from Houston and attends Yates High School, chose Texas over Baylor and Duquesne. He is ranked No. 15 overall among point guards in his class and No. 7 overall at the position in the state of Texas, per 247Sports.
