Jordan Burgason scored a career-high 33 points, including nine 3-pointers, to lead Lipscomb (10-10, 5-3) to a 73-65 win over East Tennessee State Saturday in Atlantic Sun action.

Burgason's points are the most scored by an Atlantic Sun player this season. His nine treys matches his NCAA-era school record, which Burgason set Dec. 21 at Iowa State. Lipscomb was previously an NAIA school.

Freshman Martin Smith scored a career-high 17 points for the Bison, who sank a season-high 15 3-pointers.

Despite that barrage, Lipscomb - leading 39-30 at halftime - trailed 51-44 midway through the second half after ETSU's 17-3 run. Jarvis Jones, who led ETSU (10-8, 5-3) with 18 points, led that surge, along with Tommy Hubbard and Sheldon Cooley.
