Lawyer enters not guilty plea for Willis

A lawyer entered a not guilty plea on behalf of UNLV basketball player Tre'Von Willis, who faces a felony charge stemming from allegations that Willis choked his girlfriend during an argument.
Attorney Steve Wolfson appeared Tuesday on the 22-year-old Willis' behalf at an arraignment in Henderson Justice Court on a felony domestic battery-strangulation charge.
Judge Randall F. Weed set an evidentiary hearing Nov. 22. Willis remains free on almost $19,000 bail.
The 6-foot-4 Willis was arrested after a June 29 altercation with a 28-year-old female acquaintance at her Henderson apartment.
He also faces a misdemeanor coercion charge in a case set for a Sept. 22 hearing in Henderson Municipal Court.
Willis was the Runnin' Rebels top scorer as a junior guard last season.
