Devon Lamb had 20 points and 13 rebounds and Donley Minor added 18 points to lead Lamar to a 84-71 victory against Nicholls State on Saturday night.
Mike James scored 15 points and Anthony Miles 11 for the Cardinals (10-14, 4-6 Southland).
Anatoly Bose had 22 points, Kellan Carter 15 and Ben Martin 11 for Nicholls State (11-11, 5-6).
Lamar led by seven points early in the second half before a Lamb 3-pointer began a 22-4 run. Minor's 3-pointer, his fifth of the game, completed the surge and gave the Cardinals a 67-42 cushion with 8:30 remaining.
