Lamar 80, Texas-San Antonio 66

Brandon Davis scored 23 points Saturday, leading four Lamar players in double figures, and the Cardinals defeated UTSA 80-66.
Davis, who was 0 for 8 from the field in the first half, scored 21 of his points in the second half, when Lamar broke away from a 27-27 game and led by as many as 18 points. Davis made a 3-pointer a few seconds into the second half and was 7 of 10 overall after the break.
Anthony Miles had 18 points and six assists, Devon Lamb had 16 points, 10 rebounds and four steals, and Mike James also scored 16 for the Cardinals (15-8, 6-3 Southland).
Lamar shot 65 percent from the field in the second half and finished the game at 50 percent.
Jeromie Hill led the Roadrunners (14-9, 6-3) with 18 points. Melvin Johnson III scored 15 points and Kannon Burrage had 13 points for UTSA.
