Once upon a time, John Calipari said it was a goal for one of his teams to go 40-0. Seems reasonable, right? In theory, that should be every coach's dream.
In the 2015 NCAA Tournament, his Kentucky Wildcats were well on their way to doing so until they ran into the buzz saw that was Wisconsin. And his players clearly felt that pressure. According to Cal, "When we lost to Wisconsin, some guys were relieved in that locker room," Calipari said. "When I walked in, I thought they'd be devastated. A few of them were relieved like, 'whew!"
Bold strategy, Kentucky Wildcats. Let's see how it pays off in 2015-16.
