Kentucky ends season on top of AP poll

Despite losing in their conference tournaments, Kentucky and Syracuse were on top in The Associated Press' college basketball poll for a seventh straight week.
The top four teams in the season's final poll Monday don't match the No. 1 seeds in the NCAA tournament.
Kentucky, Syracuse, Missouri and North Carolina are first through fourth in the poll. Missouri is a second seed in the NCAAs with fifth-ranked Michigan State the fourth No. 1.
This is the eighth time the Wildcats have finished No. 1 in the last poll and three of those teams went on to win the national championship.
Four teams that won conference tournaments moved into the final poll - Louisville, Vanderbilt, New Mexico and Saint Mary's. Temple, Notre Dame, Gonzaga and Iowa State dropped out.
