Kentucky Basketball Steamrolled Past Duquesne 93-59, Firing on all Cylinders, Likely Jumping to No. 1 in the Country Next Week
Kentucky’s stifling on ball pressure forced 19 turnovers, and De’Aaron Fox led the way with 16 points, as four Cats reached double-figure scoring in a 93-59 rout of Duquesne at Rupp Arena.

With an emphasis on post production, Bam Adebayo delivered with 12 points, 8 rebounds, 2 steals and 2 blocks in 24 minutes of play. Wenyen Gabriel scored 8 points, hauled in 6 rebounds and blocked one shot after getting his first start of the season. Derek Willis added 5 points and 3 rebounds off the bench, while Isaac Humphries chipped in 2 points and added 3 boards. Kentucky out rebounded Duquesne 49-32, a welcome stat for a team that came into the night with a -9 rebounding margin on the season.
The backcourt was again impressive for the Cats, with on ball pressure leading to 11 steals, while the defense swarmed to block 10 shots on the night. Malik Monk, who scored 7 of the Cats’ first 11 points early on 3-5 shooting, sat much of the first half with foul trouble, before finishing the game with 14 points. Isaiah Briscoe added 13 points. Mychal Mulder responded off the bench, scoring a career high 13 points, knocking down three 3-pointers, and pulling down 4 rebounds in 20 minutes of action. GAME STATS

Head coach John Calipari continued to tinker with lineup changes, as Wills (15 minutes), Dominique Hawkins (20 minutes), Humphries (10 minutes), Mulder and Sacha Killeya-Jones (13 minutes) all saw significant time off the bench, logging quality game minutes.
