Kennesaw State 78, Campbell 64

Markeith Cummings scored a season-high 31 points, barely missing his career high, and Kennesaw State defeated Campbell 78-64 on Monday night.
LaDaris Green added a double-double with 13 rebounds and 10 points. But the Owls (6-17, 4-9 Atlantic Sun) won the game at the free-throw line, where they made 27 of 36 attempts (75 percent). Campbell (11-13, 5-9) made only 12 of 19 free throws.
Cummings matched Campbell's output by making 12 of 14 at the line, and narrowly missed eclipsing the 32 points he scored Dec. 2, 2009, against Belmont.
The Camels, who lost their sixth game in the last eight, led by nine in the first half and were tied 34-all with Kennesaw State at halftime. The Owls made 20 free throws in the second half while the Camels attempted only 11 and made only five.
Junard Hartley led Campbell with 16 points and Eric Griffin added 15.
