James Madison holds off Western Michigan 63-57

HARRISONBURG, Va. (AP) Ron Curry scored 21 points, grabbed seven rebounds and James Madison held off Western Michigan 63-57 on Thursday night.

Jackson Kent added 12 points, including a pair of 3-pointers, and Tom Vodanovich had 11 to help James Madison (6-3) extend its win streak to four. Curry hit 7 of 16 from the field and sank 5 of 7 free throws.

Tied at 33 early in the second half, James Madison got a 3-pointer from Shakir Brown to spark an 11-2 run that made it 44-35 with 10:25 to play and the Dukes clung to the lead the rest of the way.

Western Michigan (3-5) led by as many as six in the first half but sank just 9 of 32 from the field over the final 20 minutes.

Thomas Wilder led the Broncos with 18 points and Tucker Haymond added 10.
