James Madison fends off Drexel 82-78, late rally falls short

HARRISONBURG, Va. (AP) Ron Curry scored 25 points and Yohanny Dalembert grabbed a clutch rebound in the final seconds as James Madison held off a late rally to defeat Drexel 82-78 on Wednesday, winning its fourth straight.

The win completed a season sweep of Drexel by James Madison (17-11, 10-5 Colonial Athletic Association).

Curry hit 5 of 9 shots and 13 of 16 at the foul line for his fourth game at 25 points or better in the Dukes' last eight.

The Dragons (10-16, 8-7) closed with a quartet of 3-pointers - two by Freddie Wilson - in the final 1:44 to pull within 81-78 with 23 seconds remaining. Drexel hit 14 3s.

Curry was fouled and made the front end of a one-and-one but Sammy Mojica missed two 3-pointers and Dalembert collared the final rebound.

Tom Vodanovich scored a career-high 18 for the Dukes.

Damion Lee scored 26 for Drexel, Wilson added 16.
