Jacksonville State edges Belmont 72-70

JACKSONVILLE, Ala. (AP) D.J. Felder scored 19 points to lead Jacksonville State to a 72-70 win over Belmont on Wednesday night to snap a five-game skid.
Darion Rackley contributed 16 points and Jamal Hunter added 10 points, eight rebounds and seven blocks for Jacksonville State (10-17, 3-9 Ohio Valley). The win knocked Belmont (15-10, 7-5) out of first place in the conference's East Division.
Trailing by 11 at the break, Belmont opened the second with a 10-2 run that included two buckets each from Evan Bradds and Taylor Barnette to cut the gap to 39-36. Bradds sank a layup with 10:26 left to put Belmont up 51-50 before Jacksonville took it back with seven unanswered points.
Hunter put Jacksonville State ahead for good at 68-66 with 1:38 to go and blocked a game-tying layup at the buzzer.
Bradds led Belmont with 24 points and Craig Bradshaw had 15 points and 10 rebounds.
