Brian Williams scored 18 points to lead five Jacksonville State players in double figures in a 76-65 win over Southern Illinois-Edwardsville on Saturday night.

The Gamecocks won their third straight game as Darion Rackley added 16 points, Nick Cook had 15, Ronnie Boggs scored 11 and Tarvin Gaines 10.

Jacksonville State (9-14, 4-6 Ohio Valley Conference) scored 26 points off 19 SIU-Edwardsville turnovers while the Gamecocks committed only seven miscues. Jacksonville State outscored the Cougars 25-2 on fast break points.

Leading 46-42 early in the second half, the Gamecocks went on a 12-2 run and grabbed their biggest lead of the game at 58-44 with 10:44 remaining. The Cougars (5-15, 3-6) would get no closer than seven points the rest of the way.

Jerome Jones scored 18 points and Corey Wickware added 14, while Mark Yelovich and Darian Shaffer each had 10 for the Cougars, who have lost five straight.
