Jacksonville rallies to beat Jacksonville State 86-82

JACKSONVILLE, Ala. (AP) Josh Adeyeye scored a 3-point shot to regain the lead with 42 seconds remaining, and Marcel White sank four straight free throws for a cushion in the last half minute as Jacksonville rallied to defeat Jacksonville State 86-82 Saturday night.

Jacksonville (4-5), playing at Jacksonville State for the first time since the 2001-02 season, led much of the game and broke away with a 7-0 run to start the second half while building a 14-point lead.

Kori Babineaux scored 21 for the Dolphins, White finished with 17, including 10-for-11 at the foul line, and 10 boards. Darius Dawkins scored 15 and Adeyeye 12.

But Jacksonville State would not stay down.

The Gamecocks (3-8) launched a 12-minute push that saw them go from 14 down to lead 77-74 on a Malcolm Drumwright 3-pointer, his fifth, with 3:04 remaining. The sophomore extended the lead to 79-74 with 2:23 remaining and finished with a career-high 30 points.
