Jackson State rallies to beat Alcorn State 64-54

JACKSON, Miss. (AP) Raeford Worsham scored 19 points, 17 coming in the second half, to lead Jackson State past Alcorn State 64-54 on Saturday night.

Worsham only played eight minutes in the first half because of foul trouble, but his second-half effort helped Jackson State come back from seven points down with 7:34 left. Jackson State led 54-52 with 2:44 to play then Worsham scored eight of the Tigers' final 10 points.

Derell Taylor had 17 points and 10 rebounds for Jackson State (4-12, 2-1 Southwestern Athletic Conference). Kaven Bernard added 10 points and grabbed 10 rebounds - the Tigers outrebounded Alcorn State 50-26.

LeAntwan Luckett scored all of his 14 points in the second half for Alcorn State (2-13, 1-2). Marquis Vance also had 14 points on 4-of-7 shooting from the field and 5 of 6 from the line. Michael Davis scored Alcorn State's only basket in the final two minutes.
