IUPUI 84, W. Kentucky 76

Alex Young had 43 points, nine rebounds and three steals to lead IUPUI to an 84-76 victory against Western Kentucky on Saturday night.
Young shot 14 of 20 from the floor with three 3-pointers for the Jaguars (3-8). He had the highest-scoring game in IUPUI's 14-year Division I history and the first 40-point game allowed by Western Kentucky since 1971.
T.J. Price scored 19 points and Kahlil McDonald 15 for the Hilltoppers (4-7).
IUPUI led by three points midway through the second half when a Young 3-pointer ignited a 15-3 run over a span of 3:49. Young had 13 points during the surge, which was culminated by his layup that gave the Jaguars a 61-45 lead with 6:27 remaining.
Stephen Thomas, with 13 points, was the only other IUPUI player in double figures.
Jamal Crook had 11 points for Western Kentucky.
