Iona has made a surprise hire with C.W. Post coach Tim Cluess.
Iona spokesman Brian Beyrer confirmed to FOXSports.com that
Cluess, who was 98-23 in four seasons at C.W. Post, will be
introduced Friday at a news conference.
He will replace Kevin Willard, who left for Seton Hall.
Cluess, who coached Danny Green at St. Mary’s High
prior to taking the C.W. Post job, takes over a team that could
contend for the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference title.
Iona athletic director Pat Lyons also talked to Fran
Fraschilla, Norm Roberts and Steve Masiello.
