Deremy Geiger scored 23 points, including six to start overtime for Idaho, leading the Vandals to a 90-88 win over Louisiana Tech Thursday night.

The Bulldogs had the first shot in overtime, as Raheem Appleby stole the ball from Idaho's Landon Tatum. Appleby's jumper wouldn't fall, though, and Tatum rebounded and got it up-court to Geiger for a 3-pointer.

Geiger then converted a three-point play for an 82-79 lead the Vandals (8-8, 1-1Western Athletic Conference) wouldn't relinquish. They went up 90-84 with 31 seconds to play in the extra frame thanks to a 6-for-6 showing from the free-throw line, and held on for the win.

Geiger's final 3-pointer in regulation put Idaho up 76-72 with 2 1/2 minutes left, but the Vandals didn't score again. Louisiana Tech scored four unanswered points in the final 1:44, but couldn't find a game-winner.
