Djim Bandoumel's layup with 5 seconds remaining helped Idaho beat New Mexico State 59-58 Thursday night.
Kyle Barone, whose pass set up the winning basket, had 16 points and eight rebounds as the Vandals (14-11, 6-4 WAC) won their third in a row. They scored the last six points of the game, holding the Aggies scoreless for the last four minutes.
Bandoumel had 10 points and a career-high six blocked shots, and Stephen Madison had 10 points and nine rebounds for Idaho.
Wendell McKines and Hamidu Rahman scored 12 points for New Mexico State (17-8, 6-3). McKines, who had a team-high nine rebounds, had a chance to win it at the buzzer but his 3-point try missed.

Idaho shot 50 percent from the field while New Mexico State shot 43 percent.
