Washington guard Isaiah Thomas has undergone minor surgery on his right big toe to remove a bone spur.

The school confirmed Thomas had the surgery on Friday. He is expected to be in a walking boot for a short time and be limited in his basketball activities for the next three to six weeks.

Thomas was Washington's second-leading scorer last season, averaging 16.9 points and 3.9 rebounds as the Huskies surged late in the season to win the Pac-10 tournament title and reach the round of 16 in the NCAA tournament. The school says Thomas has been bothered by the toe for a while, but aggravated the injury in the Huskies' second-round NCAA win over New Mexico.
