LINCOLN, Neb., Oct. 13 -- The University of Nebraska issued the following news release:

The Nebraska men's basketball team finalized its 2010-11 television schedule Wednesday, as it announced that seven games will be carried on Fox Sports Midwest this season. Six games, including three Big 12 matchups, will be shown across the state of Nebraska, while the Huskers' game against USC will be carried to a national audience on FSN.

In all, Husker fans will have a chance to see Nebraska play a minimum of 20 times on television this season, including the Big 12's contract with ESPN and the earlier announcement of television for the Puerto Rico Tip-Off in late November.

"We are thrilled and excited to provide an additional seven games to our fans within the state of Nebraska," Executive Associate Athletic Director Marc Boehm said. "As we enter our seventh season with Fox Sports Midwest, it will also mark the final season of our partnership because of our transition into Big Ten play next season. We will miss our relationship with the Fox Sports Midwest team, and appreciate their efforts in bringing increased exposure to our basketball programs."

The Huskers' agreement with Fox Sports Midwest will allow Nebraska to be seen four times in non-conference play, along with providing three more league games on television. The Huskers open the 2010-11 season on Fox Sports Midwest, when they take on the South Dakota Coyotes on Friday, Nov. 12 at the Devaney Center. Other non-conference games set for telecast include the Big 12/Pac-10 Hardwood Challenge game against USC on Saturday, Nov. 27, as well as non-conference contests against Creighton (Dec. 5) and TCU (Dec. 11).

In league play, Nebraska's Big 12 opener against Iowa State on Jan. 8, will now be televised, as well as the Huskers' league road opener at Missouri on Wednesday, Jan. 12. The final FSMW telecast of the year will be on Saturday, Feb. 12, when the Huskers play host to Oklahoma State at the Devaney Center.

Returning for his seventh season calling the action for Husker telecasts on Fox Sports Midwest will be veteran broadcaster Greg Sharpe. A two-time Kansas Sportscaster of the Year while covering the Kansas State Wildcats from 1996 to 2002, Sharpe has also been the radio voice of the Huskers since late in the 2007 football season. For the third straight year, Sharpe will be joined by former Husker and 13-year NBA veteran Eric Piatkowski.

Games telecast on Fox Sports Midwest will have a chance to be seen around the country, as an agreement with ESPN may allow for the games' inclusion on its FullCourt package. Games included in this agreement will be dependent on availability of space on the FullCourt channels and will be announced at a later date.
