Miami Hurricanes senior forward-center Julian Gamble has torn the anterior cruciate ligament in his left leg and will likely miss the entire basketball season.

Gamble started 13 games in 2010-11 and averaged 3.8 points and 4.0 rebounds.

The injury is the second to the Hurricanes' front line this offseason. Center Reggie Johnson underwent surgery June 30 to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee and might be sidelined until January.
