Hunsaker leads Utah Valley past Chicago St. 79-70

CHICAGO (AP) Holton Hunsaker scored 18 points and dished out nine assists to lead Utah Valley past Chicago State 79-70 Thursday night.

Utah Valley State (16-9, 10-2 Western Athletic Conference) keeps a half-game lead over New Mexico State (21-8, 10-3) atop the conference standings, setting up a potential first-place showdown when the Wolverines host the Aggies on February 27.

Hunsaker was 3 of 10 from the field, but a perfect 10 for 10 from the line. Zach Nelson scored 16 points, Mitch Bruneel 15 and Keawe Enos 11 for the Wolverines.

Clarke Rosenberg scored 20 points on 8-of-15 shooting to lead Chicago State (10-15, 5-6). Quinton Pippen scored 17 points and Matt Ross added 12 for the Cougars, who have lost three straight and five of their last six games. Chicago State drops to fourth place, four and half games back of the leaders.
