Calvin Thompson scored 21 points and Howard snapped a two-game losing streak with a 67-58 win over William & Mary on Saturday.

Thompson, who scored seven of Howard's final eight points, was 9 of 10 from the free throw line, including 8 of 8 in the final 1:54. Howard (2-3) took its biggest lead of the game at 67-57 after a Thompson free throw with 24 seconds remaining.

Prince Okoroh added 11 points and Mike Phillips had 10 for the Bison.

Howard dominated the game close to the basket, outrebounding the Tribe 35-25 and scoring 42 points in the paint. Howard made 44.4 percent (24 of 54) of its field goal attempts, including 10 of 25 in the second half.

Brandon Britt scored 15 points, Tim Rusthoven added 13 and Tom Schalk 10 for William & Mary (1-6), which shot only 39.1 percent (18 of 46) from the field.
