Hot-shooting Binghamton beats UMass-Lowell 76-69

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (AP) Willie Rodriguez and Yosef Yacob each scored 15 points to lead hot-shooting Binghamton over UMass-Lowell 76-69 on Saturday.
Binghamton shot 14 of 17 (82.4 percent) from the floor in the second half, combining for 60 percent by games end.
Rodriguez was 4 of 9 from the field, and a perfect 7 of 7 from the free throw line. Yacob shot 4 of 5 from distance. Marlon Beck II finished with 14 points and five assists and Bobby Ahearn had 13 points for the Bearcats (4-20, 3-6 America East).
The victory marked the first time this season Binghamton has had back-to-back wins.
The Bearcats led by just one point at the end of the opening half, but 12 straight points gave them a double-digit lead, 46-34, with 13:34 to play.
Jahad Thomas led the River Hawks (9-13, 3-6) with 20 points and 10 rebounds, and Lance Crawford added 17 points.
