Green lifts Niagara over St. Francis (Pa.) 65-63

Juan'ya Green's layup with 0.2 seconds left gave Niagara a 65-63 win over St. Francis (Pa.) Monday night.

With it tied at 63 with 9 seconds left, Niagara (3-3) drove the length of the court. Green received the ball at the top of the key and threw up a runner in the paint with 2 seconds left. The ball bounced around for 1.8 seconds before falling in - dashing St. Francis' hopes of its first win of the season.

Niagara intercepted the ensuing inbound pass as time expired.

The Purple Eagles, who at one point trailed by as many as 21, used a 27-6 spurt in the opening 9 minutes of the second half to come back. Skylar Jones' three-point play gave Niagara its first lead, 47-44, with 11:19 remaining.

Antoine Mason led Niagara with 15 points and Green had 14.

Anthony Ervin led St. Francis (0-5) with 16 points.
