PHOENIX (AP) Joshua Braun scored five points and grabs two key rebounds in the closing seconds as Grand Canyon rallied past Texas-Pan American 64-59 on Thursday night.

Grand Canyon used a 9-0 surge to take a 59-57 lead with 1:22 to play. Texas-Pan American's Shaquille Boga made a layup to tie it at 59, and De'Andre Davis dished to Braun under the basket for a layup to make it a two-point game with :19 left.

Everett Osborne's long 3-point attempt bounced in and out for the Broncs, and Braun was fouled while pulling in the rebound. Braun made his first free throw and missed the second attempt, but went through four defenders to grab his own board while drawing the foul. Braun then sank both free throws to seal it for Grand Canyon (16-11, 7-3 Western Athletic Conference).

Janari Joesaar had 11 points and ten rebounds for Texas-Pan American (9-18, 3-8).
