Grambling St. 76, Alabama A&M 69

Lance Feurtado scored 14 of his 22 points in the second half as Grambling State roared back from a double-digit halftime deficit to defeat Alabama A&M 76-69 Thursday night.

The Tigers (9-20, 7-10 Southwestern Athletic Conference) trailed 40-25 at halftime after Alabama A&M shot 59.3 percent (16 of 27) in the first 20 minutes. But Grambling came alive in the second half, holding the Bulldogs to 8-of-27 shooting while outscoring them 51-29.

Donald Qualls had 14 of his 18 points in the second half for Grambling, which also got 12 points from Yondarius Johnson and 11 from Rupert Rose. The Tigers will conclude their regular season Saturday against Alabama State

Casey Cantey had 21 points to lead Alabama A&M (13-13, 10-7), while Cornelius Hester added 18. The Bulldogs visit Jackson State to end their regular season Saturday.
