Lasan Kromah matched his career-high with 25 points and Tony Taylor scored 21 points as George Washington routed Richmond 83-65 Wednesday night.

The Colonials (7-11, 2-2 Atlantic 10 Conference) shot 69.2 percent in the second half, 58.2 percent overall (32 of 55) and took control with an 18-3 run midway through the game.

Kromah scored 16 points after halftime, knocking down all seven of his second half shots and 11 of 15 attempts overall.

After letting a 10-point lead in the first half disappear, the Colonials entered halftime on a 9-2 run for a 33-27 advantage, the final six points coming from Taylor. Kromah accounted for the first four points of the second half as a 9-1 push coming out of intermission extended the lead to 42-28.

The Colonials led by 23 points in the closing minutes.

Darien Brothers scored 17 points to lead the Spiders (11-8, 2-2).
