Gardner leads Arkansas State to 74-69 win over Niagara

NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (AP) Sean Gardner hit an off-balance 3-pointer as the shot clock expired to give Arkansas State its first lead of the second half with 1:53 remaining and the Red Wolves held on to beat Niagara 74-69 on Tuesday night.

Cameron Golden followed Gardner with another trey and a layup to secure the victory for the Red Wolves.

Gardner was 3 of 8 from long range to finish with 23 points, Golden added 20 and Anthony Livingston contributed 16 points and 10 rebounds for Arkansas State (5-4). P. J. Hardwick had 11 assists for the Red Wolves.

Niagara had a 62-57 lead with 6:17 left. Arkansas State's Anthony Livingston nailed a 3 to start a 15-5 run.

Rayvon Harris had 13 points, Ramone Snowden added 12 for Niagara (1-8) which has now lost seven straight games.
