Furman 85, Jacksonville 79

Richard Brown, Charlie Reddick and Bobby Austin scored 16 points apiece and Furman defeated Jacksonville 85-79 on Sunday.
The Paladins (5-4) led 36-33 at halftime and opened the second half on a 15-3 run. Reddick's 3-pointer capped a 51-36 advantage with 14:59 to go. Jacksonville (2-6) had six of its 10 second-half turnovers in the first 5:01 of the second half.
The Dolphins outshot Furman 48.4 percent (30 of 62) to 46.3 percent (25 of 54), but turned it over 21 times compared to 14 by the Paladins. Furman scored 26 points off of turnovers.
The Paladins also bested the Dolphins on the free-throw line, 81.8 percent (27 of 33) to 63.6 percent (14 of 22).
Austin scored 14 of his points in the second half, and finished with six assists.
Keith McDougald had 26 points to lead Jacksonville, which lost its fourth in a row.
