Noah States scored 18 points to lead Furman past Middle Tennessee State 76-61 on Sunday.

The Paladins (5-2) shot 57.1 percent in the opening half (16 for 28) and led 42-27 at halftime.

Amu Saaka scored 14, Jordan Miller had 12 and Colin Reddick 10 for Furman, which has won three straight.

The Blue Raiders (4-5) were outrebounded 40-28 and shot just 18 for 52 from the floor (34.6 percent).

JT Sulton scored 16 points, while James Gallman and Shawn Jones scored 13 each. Jones also had 10 rebounds.

Furman overcame 18 turnovers and finished 26 of 49 from the field (53.1 percent), including a 50 percent shooting effort from 3-point range (7 of 14).

Middle Tennessee scored 18 points off of turnovers and held a 36-21 advantage in bench points but the Blue Raiders allowed 28 second-chance points.
