Greg Smith scored 23 points and grabbed a career-high 14 rebounds as Fresno State coasted to a 68-49 victory over UC Riverside Saturday night in a BracketBuster game.
Garrett Johnson and Jonathan Wills added eight points each for Fresno State (13-14), which broke open the game with a 24-3 run midway through the second half.
Phil Martin scored 13 points and Javon Borum added 11 for UCR (9-16), which dropped its fourth straight.
The Highlanders went more than 5 minutes without scoring after Elliott Berry's jumper with 16:43 remaining gave UCR a 34-32 lead.

Smith, who went 8 of 14 from the field and 7 of 13 from the line, scored 10 of Fresno State's 24 points during the Bulldogs' surge.
