Fordham tops George Mason 80-68 for Rams' first road win

FAIRFAX, Va. (AP) Mandell Thomas scored 25 points and Eric Paschall 21 to lead Fordham to an 80-68 victory over George Mason on Wednesday night.
The Rams (8-16, 3-10 Atlantic 10) picked up their first road victory of the season after eight losses. They also won for the third time in their last four games.
Chris Sengfelder added 14 points and Bryan Smith 11 for Fordham, which made 26 of 49 shots for 53.1 percent, including 11 of 18 3-point attempts. The also made 17 of 19 free throws.
Shevon Thompson, who averages a double-double, added his 14th of the season with 19 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Patriots (8-17, 3-10), losers of five of their last six. Marquise Moore added 13 points and Isaiah Jackson and Patrick Holloway 12 apiece.
The game was tied at 61-all with 5:59 remaining. Thomas and Paschall scored 12 of the Rams' final 19 points.
