Amin Stevens scored 25 points on 10-of-12 shooting to lead Florida A&M past Southeastern (Fla.) 88-61 on Monday night.
The Rattlers (1-1) led 42-26 at halftime thanks to Stevens' 13 points on 5-of-7 shooting. Stevens continued his hot shooting in the second half as he went a perfect 5-for-5 from the floor.
Brandon Hosley finished with 11 points for Florida A&M, which shot 33 of 68 from the field (48.5 percent), including 9 of 25 from 3-point range (36 percent).
Malcolm Pollack shot 4-for-6 from 3-point range and scored 14 points to lead the Fire (4-1), while Dyami Thurman added 10 points.
Southeastern shot 21 of 56 (37.5 percent) from the field as a team and were outrebounded 50-36.
Yannick Crowder, Christopher Walker and Stevens each finished with six rebounds for the Rattlers.
