Warren Edney scored 16 points and Fairfield rallied from an early nine-point deficit to defeat Siena 72-55 on Friday night.

The Stags (6-3, 2-0 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) won their fifth game in a row, their longest run since winning seven straight after a similar 1-3 start during the 2008-09 season.

Leading by two with 16:44 to play, Fairfield shot 63 percent from the field (17 of 27) in the second half to pull away. Siena shot 48 percent (12 of 25) after the break.

Derek Needham added 12 points and eight assists for the Stags.

Fairfield fell behind 16-7 with 11:39 to go in the first half, but used a 10-0 run, capped by five straight points by Edney, to pull ahead.

Siena (2-6, 1-1), which has lost three straight, was led by Clarence Jackson with 14 points. Ryan Rossiter, who came in averaging a double-double, had only seven points and seven rebounds.
