Former Colgate coach Emmett Davis is the newest addition to Tulsa basketball coach Doug Wojcik's staff.

Wojcik announced the hiring of Davis on Tuesday. The two men spent eight seasons on the coaching staff at Navy from 1990 to 1998, helping the Midshipmen reach three NCAA tournaments.

Davis went 165-212 in 13 seasons at Colgate, which was his only head coaching job. Colgate athletic director David Roach released Davis from his contract in mid-March after the Raiders finished 7-23 last season.

Davis holds Colgate's record for career coaching wins. The Raiders reached the Patriot League tournament championship game in 2008, tying a school record for wins with 18.
