Evansville 81, Middle Tennessee 79

Kavon Lacey made the game-winning shot in the final second to boost Evansville over Middle Tennessee 81-79 on Saturday.
Lacey finished with 10 points for the Purple Aces (5-4) while Colt Ryan led the team with 22.
Kenneth Harris chipped in with 13 points and a game-high seven rebounds for Evansville as Clint Hopf added 12 points and Jordan Jahr scored 10.
The Purple Aces led by as many as 21 points in the second half, but the Blue Raiders (4-7) charged back on 59 percent shooting in the period to tie it at 79 with 9 seconds to go.
James Gallman scored a game-high 24 points to lead Middle Tennessee. James Washington added 15 points and Jason Jones scored 11.
The teams were even on the boards with 24 rebounds each. Evansville led in points off turnovers 24-13.
