Eastern Kentucky comes back to clip Morehead St, 66-57

MOREHEAD, Ky. (AP) Corey Walden scored 20 points, including 12 of 13 at the free throw line to lead Eastern Kentucky to a 66-57 victory over Morehead State on Saturday.

It was Walden's 10th 20-plus point game of the season. Eric Stutz added 17 points and 10 rebounds for Eastern Kentucky (12-9, 4-4 Ohio Valley Conference), who snapped a three-game losing streak including back-to-back overtime losses.

The Colonels tied a season low with 18 field goals, but got to the free throw line 27 times, hitting 23 of them. They also forced 15 Morehead State turnovers, turning them into 17 points.

Morehead State led 34-27 at halftime. Eastern Kentucky battled back however, and took the lead for good on a pair of Walden free throws followed by a Denzel Richardson 3-pointer with 4:45 left.

Brent Arrington scored 12 points to lead the Eagles (10-14, 5-4).
