E. Michigan holds off UNC-Greensboro, 70-62

YPSILANTI, Mich. (AP) Raven Lee pumped in 25 points and Karrington Ward added 12 points and 10 rebounds to lead Eastern Michigan to a 70-62 win over North Carolina-Greensboro Saturday.

The Eagles jumped to a 30-19 lead in the first half, led by Lee's 10 points. Both teams caught fire from the field - each team shot better than 50 percent in the second half - but the Spartans were unable to dig out of the 11-point first-half hole.

Mike Talley scored 17 points for Eastern Michigan (4-0). The Eagles were 9 of 27 (33.3 percent) in the first half and 14 for 25 (56 percent) in the second.

Kayel Locke had 14 points and Tevon Saddler 13 to lead UNCG (1-3). The Spartans struggled from the floor in the first half, shooting just 24 percent (6 of 25), but scored at a 53.8 percent clip (15 for 28) in the second half.
