Zane Gay came off the bench to score 17 points and lead Eastern Michigan University to a win over Bowling Green State University on Sunday, 65-57. It was Eastern Michigan's first road win this season and snapped an eight-game losing streak. Brandon Bowdry had his fourth double-double of the year with 15 points and 12 rebounds for the Eagles (4-21, 2-9 MAC). Gay was 5-of-8 on 3-pointer attempts. Nate Miller was the game's leading scorer with 18 points, but it wasn't enough for Bowling Green (14-10, 7-4 MAC). Eastern Michigan never trailed and had a 13-point lead with 10:26 left in the game. The Eagles had a comfortable 10-point lead, 59-49, with just over a minute left to play, but Miller made two long 3-pointers to cut the lead to just 59-55 with 52 seconds left in the game. But Eastern Michigan hit several free throws in a row to keep the lead and win.
