Willie Cruz scored 20 points on 9-of-9 shooting and Eastern Kentucky pummeled Cincinnati Christian College 91-27 on Tuesday night.

The Hilltoppers (3-3) jumped out to a 22-2 lead. Eastern Kentucky led 53-15 after making just four fewer shots (22) than the Cincinnati Christian attempted (26) in the first half.

The Hilltoppers didn't let up in the second, holding Cincinnati Christian (0-6) to just 4-of-27 shooting (14.8 percent), while making 69.6 percent (16 of 23).

Leading 57-19 with 16:44 to go, Eastern Kentucky scored 26 straight, capped by Cruz's free throws with 3:49 remaining. The Hilltoppers led by as many as 70, 91-21, on Taylor Filipke's free throw with 1:34 to go.

Josh Daniel added 19 points and Joshua Jones had 10 for Eastern Kentucky.

Jaydell Herndon led Cincinnati Christian of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association with 10 points.
