Jeremy Granger scored 17 points and Eastern Illinois defeated Morehead State 47-40 Saturday night.

Granger was 6 of 12 from the field for the Panthers (7-10, 3-4 Ohio Valley) and had as many field goals as the rest of his teammates combined. Eastern Illinois just shot 31.6 percent.

Sam Goodman scored 12 points for the Eagles (12-7, 5-3), who shot season-low 25.9 percent and lost for the first time in seven games.

Morehead State led the entire first half and went into halftime up 23-21. Eastern Illinois took its first advantage, 31-30, on Curry McKinney's jumper with 10:50 to play. After the Eagles regained the lead on Goodman's layup, the Panthers put together a 9-1 run and led the rest of the way.

Eastern Illinois outscored Morehead State 21-9 at the foul line and beat the Eagles in Charleston for the fourth straight season.
