Duke's Grayson Allen trips Louisville player

Duke guard Grayson Allen was assessed a flagrant 1 foul in the second half of Monday night's win over No. 13 Louisville.
After a missed layup that sent Allen to the floor, the Duke guard tripped Louisville freshman forward Ray Spalding as he attempted to take off down the floor. The officials reviewed the play before whistling Allen with an intentional foul.
As Dana O'Neil of ESPN.com wrote after the game, it's plays like this that make Allen the next hated Duke player.
The moment Spalding went down, Twitter woke up:
@GraysonJAllen THUG
@GraysonJAllen Nice trip. You're cheap as hell.
Allen scored 19 points in Duke's all important 72-65 win over the Cardinals.
The Blue Devils, who last week fell from the rankings for the first time during the Barack Obama administration, have successfully completed the first leg of a rigorous four-game slate. They play No. 7 Virginia on Saturday and have a rematch with the Cards on Feb. 20. In the middle of those two games is a trip down Tobacco Road to face rival North Carolina.
