Dudzinski lifts Holy Cross past Loyola (Md) 60-51

WORCESTER, Mass. (AP) Dave Dudzinski scored 24 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to carry Holy Cross to a 60-51 win over Loyola (Md.) on Wednesday.

Dudzinski hit 8 of 11 shots and 8 of 12 free throws for the Crusaders (12-9, 6-3 Patriot). Justin Burrell added 10 points for Holy Cross.

Dylon Cormier had 15 points for Loyola (9-11, 4-5) and Tyler Hubbard had 13.

Cormier entered the game averaging 21.6 points per game but he only had six until less than 7 minutes remained. His 3-pointer at the 5:37 mark pulled the Greyhounds, who trailed 28-19 at the half, within 48-44. But Holy Cross protected the lead from the line, making 18 of 29 free throws while the Greyhounds were 10 of 19.

With Dudzinski, Holy Cross had a 38-30 rebound advantage that translated into a 30-18 difference in points in the paint and 11-3 on second chance points.
